Aiming to strengthen cooperation among social partners to promote effective skill development and vocational training system in Nepal,one day seminar on Role of Labour Market Partners on Vocational Training and Skill Development organised by ITUC-NAC has been concluded in Kathmandu. Altogether participants representing from Trade unions of Nepal, Ministry of Education, employer organisation Danish Employers' Association, Danish Metalworkers' Union, The Plumbers and Pipefitters Federation in Denmark, labour expert and Media personnel.During the workshop, various methodologies including presentation, panel discussion had been used to make seminar more interactive.

On the occasion, Mr, Fleming Frederiksen – Chairman of the Danish Employers' Association for Industrial and Construction Enterprises and   Mr.Henrik W. Petersen – Chairman of The Plumbers and Pipefitters Federation in Denmark presented How does trade unions and employers’ organisations influence and shape the labour market. The presentation was focused on THE SEPTEMBER COMPROMISE and General agreement between DA -confederation of Danish Employers and FH-Danish Trade union Confederation ,Legal system ,the Danish labour market model,

Similarly,Mr.  Kasper Palm, Head of Education at Danish Metalworkers' Union highlighted on vocational education,adult education and training system in Denmark.

On behalf of Nepalese Trade Union ITUC NAC has presented on Nepali Trade union movement and Vocational Education in Nepal . The presentation focused on the status of Nepal labour market, Problems and gaps in skill development training in Nepal, Role and involvement of Trade union in skill development.

Trade union seek their involvement in skill development and training and also want a social dialogue  and continue coordination to run the vocational education and skill training effectively,Trade union main focus is to link the skill development with decent work.

Similarly form Employer organization of Nepal ,Mr Birendra Raj Pandey from FCAN highlighted on State of Construction Industry in Nepal, Construction Industry Trend, Trend of Migration and key challenges of Nepal labour market. The presentation mainly point out challenging in Nepal labour  market.

Mr Hari Prasad Lamsal Joint secretary Ministry of Education presented on Vocational Training and skill development training system in Nepal and  role of Government.
